Website Design

A selection of the WordPress websites we’ve designed and the clients we’ve had the pleasure to work with.

Berkshires Outside

Berkshire Regional Planning Commission had collected data about every park, trail, and outdoor recreation activity in the Berkshires.

They commissioned a project to gather this information into a new database and make it available to the public. The result is a map-driven, interactive list of places to hike, bike, camp, swim, fish, and paddle, available to everyone.

PCTV

Pittsfield Community Televsion provides video content to the city of Pittsfield through Cablecast.

Their new website uses the Cablecast API to deliver videos to the public at blazing fast speed, and the WordPress category system keeps their videos organized and easy to find. SEO best practices have taught Google where to index their content, and the design of the website is fun and easy to use.

Berkshire Museum

Berkshire Museum was looking to change how they engage with their patrons.

They wished to become a greater part of Berkshire tourism, and remain a strong member of the Pittsfield community. We started with an eight-week discovery phase and got to the heart of who they are and want to be. This process influenced the design of their new logo and their exciting new website, launched in August, 2023.

Ward’s Nursery

Ward’s is not only a beautiful and successful garden center.

Their staff is a wealth of information about plants and trees. Their new website is a learning center to educate gardeners, and a sales tool to keep customers coming in to the store. We leveraged WordPress to create a database of questions and answers, and a searchable list of vendors.

Berkshire Theatre Group

Berkshire Theatre Group initially approached us to see how we could improve their current website.

Through discussions and creative thinking, we helped them determine a pain-point: distinguishing their theaters. We collaborated with the client to design a new website to clearly distingish their three stages and locations, and group the performances on the calendar by theater.

Hearthway

The new website sparked a name change, and Berkshire Housing became Hearthway.

The Berkshire Housing website had dozens of pages with links in all directions. They know the difficulties of finding housing in a crisis situation - the forms, the availability, the funding - and stuggled to present good information to the people who need it. We began this project by focusing on the needs of the people who might use the site, and saw them going in three possible directions. The rest of the website followed those paths.

We asked if we could help them with their possible name change, and the process was amazing. People really stepped up and attempted to articulate the heart of Hearthway's mission.

Stockbridge Library

The new website of our hometown library is friendly, functional, and a useful resource for residents and visitors.

We worked with Wendy Pearson, library director, to take stock of the current website—what it did well, and what was missing. We introduced a new event calendar to handle everything happening at the library, and made room for the Museum & Archives to display their collections.

A well designed website connects a business to its people.

You’re unique.
