Nonprofits operate in a special way. While for-profit companies make decisions based on a return on their investment, nonprofit organizations in the Berkshires exist to improve things. Yet, they value a strong brand identity and a useful, friendly website just as much.
Establishing your brand is something you do every day. It's the hard work you do and the gratitude you get from those you help. Your brand is likely already established, and now you might be looking to expand your visibility online and attract new people, all while maintaining your identity. Working with us, we can help you see where improvements can be made to your image and help you look like the nonprofit you want to be.
Not every nonprofit in the Berkshires needs a new logo. And a new logo doesn't solve all problems. The way we see it, you might need a new logo if the one you have now is not who you are, or worse, is holding you back. We want your nonprofit to look as good on the outside as you feel on the inside! And that happens when we take steps together, learning as we go.
The people you want to attract to your brand need a central location to learn about your organization, your mission, and how to support the work you do. For nonprofits in Western Massachusetts, we hope to design a website that creates value for your organization. It should be easy to understand, navigate and donate to, and effectively tell your story. We want supporters to get to know you, understand your purpose, and why it matters.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a funky way of saying "what you need to do to get found in Google search results". We want your website to get noticed, not only by the people who already know you but by those looking for your services online who don't know your name. SEO research and strategy is a way to have a conversation with Google about why you matter and should be listed on page one for what you're known for. This research will tell us what content we need to have on the sites we build to have the greatest impact, increasing visibility and awareness.
We recently helped BRPC organize its outdoor recreation data into a new database and developed a content management system (CMS) to keep everything organized. It became Berkshires Outside, a popular place to find what's out there. We did the same for Berkshire Agricultural Ventures, also a nonprofit. We helped create a Livestock Resource and Directory and replaced their spreadsheet with a powerful database and CMS. If you keep your data in a spreadsheet that is getting a bit unweildy, let's talk. We might have just the solution you've been looking for.
